YIN YOGA

Yin yoga (for strong bones and long lean muscles) is a practice done with 'cold muscles'...meaning we don't warm the muscles, but we go gently into deep passive stretches, which affects the connective tissue nearer to the bones. Remaining in these deep releasing asanas for three to five minutes, as we focus on slow calm breathing and presence in the body. The three to five minutes hold of the posture stresses the bone tissue gently, and it's response to that is to strengthen.

All levels are welcome!
