Q. Do I need my own yoga mat?
A1. It’s ideal that you have your own mat, but we do have mats that you can borrow if needed. We have all other props you might need as well.
A2. For Hot Yoga classes, you are required to bring your own yoga mat and beach towel.
Q. How much are your classes? And how do I pay for classes?
A. Our yoga classes are $12/Drop-in class (cash only), or can be purchased in a pre-paid package of either 5 or 10 classes at a rate of $10/class (cash only in studio, or use your credit or debit card online). We also offer a handful of Community Yoga Classes each week by ‘love offering’. Teachers volunteer to teach the Community Classes and are happy to have your Presence in these classes no matter what your offering!

Q. I’m a beginner. What class should I start with?
A. Visit our Schedule page and look for classes with a ‘1‘ next to them. These will include Gentle/Restorative Yoga and Beginner Yoga classes. Remembering that Yoga is for Everyone; the trick is only to find the class that fits with your breath and movement ability.
If you are feeling like you want more movement and a bit faster pace, look for the ‘AL’ (All Level) classes which will have a mixed level student base and will offer more variety and challenge in the poses.
Q. I’m pregnant and want to start Prenatal Yoga. As a beginner, will Prenatal be appropriate for me?
A. Yes. Prenatal Yoga at Gilbert Yoga is designed specifically for the pregnant mom. With our Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructors, you can be sure that even as a beginner to yoga, you’ll fit right into the Prenatal classes. Moms-to-be will be empowered to envision and create their perfect birth experience, as they gently tune into their pregnant bodies, focus and quiet their minds and bring peace and love to their babies in the womb.
We do recommend that you wait until your 13th week to start. Then come on in and join the class! And…Congratulations to you!
Q. Do you have Kids Yoga?
A. Yes we do! We are excited to be able to offer Kids Yoga alongside some of our wonderful ‘adult’ classes. Please visit our Schedule page and look for classes with a ‘K’ next to them for ages 4+ and 7+. Teens and children 8 and up are welcome to try out any adult classes if they’d like. Also, please watch for details on our Kids Yoga Summer Day Camps — usually set up in January to begin in June.
Q. Are you open on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day?
A. Yes! We are open nearly every day of the year! We intend to be available for You when you have a day off!
On some Holidays, we may have a ‘light’ schedule. The website Schedule page will note any Holiday class schedule changes accordingly.
