Robin Afinowich, MS, LAC, E-RYT 200
She loves billiards, birds, horses, stargazing, traveling, daily naps, and lots and lots of music. Her teaching style is a dynamic, integrative, and well-crafted blend of science and soul weaving mental health, mindfulness, nature-based inspiration, safe and adaptable alignment, and energetic and spiritual exploration. She has an extra appreciation of slow-flow and gentle/restorative practices that take you to the edge in a way that offers personal healing, growth, and inspiration. Her personal practice is informed by many teachers, many paths but draws primarily from Judith Lasater, Mary Bruce, Rod Stryker, Dave Oliver, Keno MacGregor, Tiffany Cruikshank, Robert Peng, Ingrid Ortega. Her greatest teachers are her kids, her struggles, the brilliant course of Nature and Shamanic practices. Robin started her yoga journey in 1996 and began teaching in 2004. She brings her expertise in Clinical Psychology/Counseling and Somatic interventions to trauma resolution to create a safe container to heal the mind-body-spirit relationship. Robin has co-facilitated 200hr YTT’s and offers continuing education in Restorative Yoga and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She has been featured in the book, Yoga Wisdom. Robin is always a student first and has an unshakable commitment to life-long practice. |
