RESTORATIVE SOUND

Picture pink yoga props - bloster, cushion, blanket, two blocks, yoga mat.
Gentle movements guided by breath bring freedom in the joints and prepare the body and mind for the stillness and restful restorative poses. This practice is a way to completely relax with props placed under the body to allow a sense of "letting go".
Various sound instruments will be utilized to accentuate the experience, including: chimes, singing bowls, gongs, rattles, and drums.

A few of the many Benefits include:
  • Gentle Release of Tension in the Connective Tissue – more relaxed and lengthened muscles and an overall feeling of physical ease. When the body relaxes from it’s previously tense state the mind is more clear, focused and calm.
  • Allows for a More Comfortable Body – alleviating chronic lower back pain in most cases and often full relief from Sciatica symptoms. Releasing the hip flexors also assists one in the process of releasing deeply-held emotions which in turn allows the diaphragm to ‘unlock’ and the jaw muscles to relax. As old emotions are surrendered we naturally feel more joyful and light.
  • Nurturing YOU time – take some time for YOU. Allow yourself to receive this gift of time spent with yourself, for yourself.
