Lizzy's journey with yoga started in 2004 when she enjoyed gaining strength, flexibilIty and relaxAtion, in each yoga class. In going overseas as a Peace Corps volunteer, she missed yoga and realized there was much more to it. After the birth of her son, Lizzy ached to get back to a regular practice and in 2014 enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training at Gilbert Yoga. She discovered, once again, that there was so much more to yoga and reveled in absorbing the incredible depth of the tradition and its practices. Lizzy's personal practice was transformed as she experienced many different styles of yoga and loved it all, from ashtanga to yoga nidra. With a background in teaching preschool, Lizzy brings her lifelong love of learning to her yoga classes. Whether it's easing long held tension, finding a deeper stretch or experiencing a new pose, Lizzy delights in assisting students surprise themselves.
