Chandra Vikraman has been living in the valley for over 20 years and is a dedicated follower of Yoga.
His teaching style is traditional and flows from his experience at the Yog Sadhan Ashram in India. He learned and developed his passion for Yoga, specializing in teaching asanas, pranayama, meditation, and various other categories of Yoga.
His personal practice is informed by the 21 years that he has followed the principles of yoga. He has chosen to follow a specific path called Hatha Yoga which derives from the Sanskrit word हठ haṭha meaning “force” and involves a multitude of physical techniques. The teachings that Chandra will provide are applicable to beginners and even advanced students.
Chandra started his yoga journey in 1999 and began teaching shortly thereafter.
He is an IT professional, and, as such, he understands the stresses that the corporate life brings, and wants to help alleviate those issues. He is especially concerned with bringing yoga to the men in our community, as they are under served but very much need the technology and training. According to the Harvard Medical School of Health Publishing, men are more prone to illnesses after the age of 40 and it is Chandra’s primary goal to make aware to men who may not be aware of the benefits of Yoga that Yoga is the key to providing health, longevity, and peace.
