Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga.Alex Skinner, RYT-200
She loves her dogs, her family, and sharing the joys of yoga with everyone she meets.
Her teaching style is challenging but supportive. The beauty of asana is finding the balance of breath and physical awareness that creates the pausing of thoughts in one’s mind. In her classes she seeks to offer a variety of modifications that allows every student to reach their personal peak posture.
Her personal practice is informed by Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Initially drawn to yoga by the physical challenge of the practice, she has continued to grow strength, flexibility, and awareness both in body and, more importantly, in mind.
Alex began her yoga journey in 2019 and began teaching in May of 2021.
In her own words...
"I began my yoga journey while recovering from an eating disorder. My yoga practice helped me learn to love my body for its unique strengths and capabilities rather than for a number on a scale. It has brought me a sense of inner peace and awareness that I feel compelled to share with others." -Alex Skinner
