Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How do I sign up for classes?

A. No need for advance sign up for our ongoing classes and we have no start up fees. Please come to the class that seems right for you. Arrive 10 minutes early, fill out a New Student Form and you are all set!

Q. How much is the first class?

A. The first class is only $10.00. Thereafter you may pay the drop-in rate of $12.00 per class or purchase a class pass to save a little money per class. New students please enjoy our New Student Special: 6 classes for the cost of 5!  Purchase our 5 Class Pass on your first visit and you will receive a sixth class free! Please visit our Prices page for details. Bring your checkbook or cash...we do not accept credit or debit cards at this time.

Q. How do the class passes work?

A. You have an option of saving a few dollars per class by purchasing a class pass.  We have three to choose from: a 5 class, 10 class, or 20 class pass.  Using a 5 class pass as an example: purchase this pass for $55 and use it for any 5 classes that you'd like, just be sure you use it by the end of two months time. This is basically a commitment by you to attend 5 classes in a two month period. You may use the pass for any regular ongoing classes that you wish. It will expire in two months.

Q. I have never practiced yoga before and am not sure which class to start with. What do you suggest?

A. Start by reading through the class descriptions on this website and verify class times that work with your schedule. (The general classes are listed on the Class descriptions page in order of pace and difficulty.)  Keep in mind you may need to try a few classes to see what feels best for you. Some classes that are geared towards beginners are Beginner Yoga, Nithya Yoga, any of the Gentle/Restorative classes. Beginners can also try Yoga Blend, All Level Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Yin-Vinyasa Mix, and Hot Yoga.
There are no restrictions in our classes...you may attend any that sound appropriate for you. We recommend you trying at least 3-4 classes of different varieties, so you can find what best resonates with you.

Q. It's my first time...what should I wear?

A. Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. Stay away from bulky clothing and things that are restrictive. Many people wear workout type clothing just as you would wear to the gym. There are no shoes worn in the studio and yoga is practiced in bare feet, so wear easy on/off shoes to be removed before entering the space.

Q. I forgot my mat, or I do not own one...do you have them for loan?

A.
Yes, we have mats that you may borrow. As you develop your personal practice you will want to purchase your own mat. We have them for sale...please ask when you arrive.

Q.  I would like to purchase a Gift Certificate for a friend or loved one. How do I go about doing that?

A. Please phone Nischala at 480-507-YOGA(9642) to make arrangements for a gift certificate to be mailed/emailed to you, or to arrange pick up. The following Gift Certificates are available: 5 Classes ($55), 10 classes ($100), or 20 classes ($180).

If your question has not been addressed above, please send us an email. We will be happy to answer your questions and help you find the class that best suits your needs and desires.
