Class levels:

(1)  'Discover - Starting Out''
These classes will include gentle movement, static relaxation postures, seated and/or standing poses. Pace will be comfortable for any level student; allowing time to learn alignment and breathwork, ideal for beginners brand new to yoga, and/or seniors.

(1-2)  'Discover & Explore'
These classes will likely include some type of Sun Salutations, in which the student will flow from one pose to another with breath. They may include a wider range of standing and seated poses, practiced either in a fluid or static manner. This level class is perfect for continuing students and is a great class for beginners who are ready for a lot more movement in their yoga practice.

(2)  'Explore & Expand'
These classes will include multiple Sun Salutations, a bit more challenging standing and/or seated poses, and the possibility of inversions, backbends, and arm balancing postures gently introduced. These are great classes for those who wish to feel like they are getting a 'workout' within their yoga practice and yet in a meditative and introspective environment.

(2-3) 'Expand'
If you are ready to flow through a long series with calm breath, strength and stamina, this level class is great for you!  If you are fit, and want to deepen your practice and build strength quickly, this class is for you!
Not advisable for brand new beginners or for those who are recovering from an injury/surgery.

(All Level)  Our instructors are aware of the mixed levels of students
in classes and are careful to remind students to go only to the level of the pose that is comfortable for them. It is the students responsibility to listen to their own body and opt for the gentler version of the poses when needed.
 Individual and caring attention is paid to each and every student who comes through the doors of Gilbert Yoga.
